We publish the speech by Nicola Giovanni Montagano, mayor of Bonefro, in Molise, where free hotspots have been activated and which joins the Municipalities that have joined the WiFi Italia Project.
“Our administration has always been careful to enhance the history and potential of Bonefro; for this reason we have joined the Wifi Italia project with conviction.
Bonefro in the year 1049 is mentioned as Binifri, from the Latin "Vinifer", or land where wine is produced.
The birth of the village was the work of pilgrims who traveled the road from Venafro to Puglia.
The medieval village is embellished by the Lombard castle, the Church of Santa Maria delle Rose, the eighteenth-century fountain of the Earth and that of the Blind".
WiFi Italia is the project of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy that allows citizens to connect easily and for free with an APP to the free and widespread WiFi network in Italian squares, in small villages, and in the city.
Find the exact location of the hotspots nearest to you via map or list.
A single App to access over 10,000 hotspots throughout Italy.
Discover all the advantages and opportunities of joining the largest national public network of free WiFi access points.
Free access to all federated networks throughout the country.
All new hotspots and existing municipal networks will become part of a widespread network throughout Italy, in small villages as well as in cities.
By federating with WiFi Italia it will be possible for public bodies and infrastructures to enhance their digital services and allow everyone a free and fast connection.
All networks have visibility on the website and App and are accessible to all registered users with secure data management.
