We publish the speech by Fabrizio Crescenzi, mayor of Monteleone Sabino, in Lazio, where free hotspots have been activated and joins the Municipalities that have already joined the WiFi Italia Project.
“Monteleone Sabino is a small village of medieval origin, where to enhance our small town we have decided to join the Wifi Italia project and become part of the public and free national network created by Infratel Italia.
The municipal administration thus wants to participate in the country's digitization process and help bridge the digital divide, providing an additional service to both citizens and visitors".
WiFi Italia is the project of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy that allows citizens to connect easily and for free with an APP to the free and widespread WiFi network in Italian squares, in small villages, and in the city.
Find the exact location of the hotspots nearest to you via map or list.
A single App to access over 10,000 hotspots throughout Italy.
Discover all the advantages and opportunities of joining the largest national public network of free WiFi access points.
Free access to all federated networks throughout the country.
All new hotspots and existing municipal networks will become part of a widespread network throughout Italy, in small villages as well as in cities.
By federating with WiFi Italia it will be possible for public bodies and infrastructures to enhance their digital services and allow everyone a free and fast connection.
All networks have visibility on the website and App and are accessible to all registered users with secure data management.
